MDL Marine annouces New Building order for offshore vessels

Ocean Energy ventures ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MDL Marine Holdings Pte ltd, is pleased to announce it has entered into an agreement to build two high end DP2 Multi-Purpose IMR/ MSV Ice class 1A vessels (V4830 design) at Triyards in Vietnam.

The vessels will be delivered from the yard in Q2 and Q3 2016. The contract includes an option for an additional 4 vessels.

With an overall length of 90 meters and a breadth of 21 meters, as well as a deck space of more than 1000 m2, both units are equipped with 150 active heave compensated (AHC) cranes and large moon pools. The V4830 is designed to support O&G subsea projects and offers a wide range of utilization such as light subsea construction, survey and work class ROV operation and saturated / air diving support.

Whilst the vessels‘ design is based on the latest environmental notations (SPS, Clean Design, Diesel Electric), they are built with accommodation for 105 personnel in the highest comfort class available in the industry, making them ready for global offshore deployment.
